Official Cellhasher devices are now available on the Acurast Hub.

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with one of the leading providers of mobile compute hardware: Cellhasher. Starting today, Acurast will list Cellhasher’s official devices on the Acurast Hub to make it simple for our community to buy hardware that’s verified compatible with Acurast’s decentralized compute network. We were approached repeatedly by community members asking which hardware to buy for running Acurast workloads. The feedback was clear: people wanted a single, trusted place to discover and purchase devices that are known to work well with Acurast. In response, we created a dedicated channel in the Acurast Hub where our community can find official, tested hardware and buy directly from a trusted partner. 

What Cellhasher brings to Acurast

Cellhasher designs phone chassis and management kits that make large-scale mobile compute farms practical, efficient, and safe. The devices we’ll list on the Hub include:

• Cellhasher Classic — A 20-slot smartphone chassis featuring a custom OTG motherboard and a 200W power supply. It’s built to run phones without batteries (reducing heat and extending device life), includes active cooling, and is optimized for efficient, multi-phone deployments. 

• Cellhasher Classic (+20 Phones) — The Cellhasher Classic equipped with 20 smartphones. 

• Cellhasher Rackmount — A 2U rack-mountable chassis designed to integrate into standard server racks for larger operations. It includes an upgraded, Ethernet-capable motherboard and an enhanced cooling system for sustained high-density deployments.  

• Cellhasher Reverse — A minimalist, low-profile chassis focsused on airflow and simplicity. The Reverse positions the control board for easier maintenance, supports OTG connectivity (with optional Ethernet), and is ideal for compact or home lab setups.
  

Cellhasher offers both DIY kits and fully assembled units so customers can choose the level of setup they prefer. 

Working together on hardware customization

This partnership is more than distribution. Going forward, Acurast and Cellhasher will collaborate closely to adapt and customize hardware to meet real community and market demand. That means: firmware tweaks, accessory bundles, and configuration presets — all informed by feedback from our developer community and production customers. Our goal is to shorten the time from purchase to deployment and to ensure buyers get the best performance and reliability when running Acurast workloads.
