Acurast Demand and Use Cases
Introduction
Since we started building Acurast, it has grown significantly, from a single device to currently over 162k onboarded phones, 311k deployments, and 569 million on-chain processed transactions. This growth is mainly attributed to the support of the community and our partners, who are actively using, exploring and creating a wide range of use cases.
Acurast’s demand side is now growing rapidly, as adoption is increasing and collaborations are expanding across the ecosystem with a diverse set of partners. This momentum is being translated into usage and real-world applications, validating the network’s value. Together, these dynamics are strengthening Acurast’s foundation and setting the stage for sustainable long-term growth.
Today, more than 75 partners and multiple enterprises are already using our compute or exploring our solutions. From the start, our mission has been to provide a differentiated form of compute compared to centralized players, one that is scalable, confidential and verifiable by design. The increasing traction is a strong signal that this mission resonates, and below we highlight a selection of the current most common use cases.
Projects and use cases for Acurast
Secure Web3 automation
Acurast is powering Web3 automation through a decentralized execution layer that allows projects to automate on-chain and off-chain workflows securely and reliably. By taking over the heavy lifting of executing complex processes, Acurast supports automation at scale without compromising security or decentralization.
With xcBTC, Acurast enables automated staking and reward distribution, handling repeated on-chain transactions efficiently. For peaq oracles, Acurast powers real-time data feeds and triggers, allowing oracles to operate continuously without manual intervention. In the context of Tezos Liquid Staking, Acurast executes off-chain processes that support staking operations at scale, while for the Polkadot Ecosystem, Acurast facilitates automated cross chain operations, ensuring multi-chain workflows run seamlessly and securely.
Through these integrations, Acurast is actively securing more than $200M in assets today, not as a future promise but as a live, battle-tested productive system supporting staking, oracles, and cross chain operations.
Web scraping
This is a huge area where Acurast is seeing adoption at scale. The web scraping community is using Acurast for automation, particularly because its embedded browser capability enables developers to automate data collection at a scale that is difficult to achieve with traditional setups.
Acurast is playing a major role in advancing the Agentic AI narrative within web scraping by providing a decentralized execution layer that enables large scale, reliable, and secure data collection. Its embedded browser capability gives developers the tools to automate complex scraping tasks across multiple websites and sources simultaneously, achieving scale and flexibility that traditional setups often cannot match. Moreover, by removing dependence on centralized servers and eliminating single points of failure, Acurast allows the web scraping community to design workflows that are inherently more resilient. Teams can run continuous scraping operations, process and verify data off chain, and integrate outputs directly into their applications without risking downtime or bottlenecks.
This approach ensures that data collection is faster, more adaptable, and secure, making Acurast a critical piece of infrastructure for developers who need automated, production-grade web scraping.
Confidential LLMs for AI agents
Confidential LLMs for AI agent workloads require decentralized, trustless compute to ensure privacy and verifiability, capabilities provided by Acurast.
In collaboration with FLock.io, Acurast enables federated learning where AI is trained collaboratively without exposing raw data, preserving privacy while supporting incentives. Together with OriginTrail, Acurast powers AI reasoning over decentralized knowledge graphs, ensuring models can act on verifiable data without central control. In enterprise settings, Teneo uses Acurast to support its enterprise AI agents, allowing them to process sensitive inputs and run workflows securely off chain.
Collectively, these partnerships position Acurast as the execution layer that makes confidential AI practical at large scale.
Today, any llama.cpp-compatible model can already run on Acurast, and partners such as FLock are actively using this setup to power AI agents without exposing sensitive data.
ZK Proving
Acurast is accelerating adoption of the ZK verification layer by enabling ZK systems at scale. As more protocols rely on proofs for privacy, intents, and modular settlement, the main constraint becomes decentralized compute rather than cryptography. Acurast fills this gap by providing a trustless execution layer for off-chain proof generation and verification.
This becomes clear through live partnerships already running in production. With Aligned, Acurast supports restaked ZK verification across rollups and L1s, ensuring proofs can be settled efficiently as demand scales. Together with Anoma, Acurast enables intent centric, privacy first coordination by supplying the off-chain compute needed to generate and verify ZK proofs without exposing user data. With Namada, Acurast supports asset agnostic privacy and interoperability, helping handle the growing volume of proofs created by cross chain ZK shielding.
Together, these partnerships, along with additional ecosystem integrations, show that ZK verification is not a future promise. It is an active workload, and Acurast is already powering the infrastructure it depends on.
Conclusion
The highlighted use cases demonstrate Acurast’s wide adoption in specific areas across the ecosystem and is not just limited to the Web3 space. In addition to powering decentralized protocols, Acurast is increasingly used in Web2 as well, as our solutions are helping enterprises solve a broad range of compute and automation needs.
As more builders look for alternatives to centralized compute and automation, Acurast continues to grow through usage rather than hype. Its partners show what demand looks like when infrastructure solves real problems and supports production workloads across multiple domains.
