Token Generation and Rewards
When will the TGE happen?
The exact date has not been disclosed yet, but will be announced in the coming weeks. The team is working hard to make it happen as soon as possible.
Will Processors continue to receive cACU, or will they earn ACU once mainnet launches?
Processors on the Acurast Canary can migrate to the mainnet, where they will earn ACU. All devices on the Canary will be onboarded to the mainnet.
Can higher-tier phones earn more than 250 ACU a month?
Yes, depending on the Compute score and the number of participants in the pool. Rewards are based on a fixed 5% inflation split among resource pools.
What is the conversion ratio from cACU to ACU?
The ratio will be announced once TGE and conversion mechanics are finalised. It is not available yet due to coordination complexity.
Will ACU tokens be transferable soon?
Transferability depends on the conversion mechanics and will activate at the TGE.
Will MIST (points) receive ACU tokens?
Yes, through an airdrop linked to Cloud Rebellion participation.
Will tokens be distributed based on benchmark scoresYes, distribution will be benchmark-based rather than a fixed amount per device.
What is a good benchmark score for meaningful rewards?
Devices with 8 cores and 8GB RAM are considered good. Some devices have up to 24GB RAM and earn more.
Will there be decentralized exchange support?
Yes, from day one.
When will the 250 cACU rewards be distributed?
Rewards are distributed with heartbeats and the system will transition to benchmark-based distribution on 11.09.
Devices and Software
How can I connect my Acurast Processor without wiping my device?
Use the Acurast Lite app that is available in the Google Play Store and Apple App store, which runs separately from personal apps and requires opting in by running it in the foreground.
Can Acurast be used for productive workloads?
Acurast is the only decentralised compute network capable of securely protecting over $100 million in Bitcoin on-chain through its live native chain, XTBTC. There have been no security breaches. Beyond high-security Web3 use cases, Acurast supports agentic AI and LLM workloads that require residential bandwidth to access the internet. It currently has over 50,000 real, verifiable deployments on-chain.
Can old phones with Android 10 be onboarded?
No, devices below Android 11 are not supported.
Will there be more planned for iOS beyond Lite?
Lite runs stably on iPhones 24/7, but iOS limits device management compared to Android. The problem with the iPhone is that we don’t have the same level of freedom as we do with Android devices, where we can actually integrate with the Android enterprise setup flow to lock down the device. That is simply not possible on iPhones.
How do I update the Acurast Processor?
Lite version: update via App Store; Core version: update via Acurast Hub.
Is the 24GB RAM virtual?
No, it is physical RAM.
Which hardware wallets are compatible?
MetaMask integration supports Ledger and AirGap.
Ecosystem and Governance
What are the use cases for the ACU token?
ACU powers the ecosystem, controls governance, transaction fees, enables staking for compute resources, and covers gas fees.
Is Acurast part of a parachain?
It is built with Substrate technology and will have shared security. ACU will launch on Ethereum mainnet with multi-chain support planned.
What strategies are in place to attract developers and businesses?
The team focuses on onboarding more phones and developing business use cases to increase demand.
Where does Acurast plan to be in three years?
Monetizing all device resources across verticals, scaling use cases, and enabling multiple deployments per device without service impact.
What is the total valuation of the project?
It has not been disclosed; the market will determine it.
Campaigns and Events
Will there be another Lootbox event?
The team will share information soon; previous drops were claimed quickly and likely to be popular.
Are there bonuses for Saga and Seeker phone holders?
Currently, no special treatment exists, but partnerships may be discussed with Solana Mobile.
When will season four of the Cloud Rebellion end?
It concludes with the TGE; season five will follow.
Will there be more quests in the Cloud Rebellion?
Yes, based on community feedback.
Is there an airdrop criteria?
Participation in Cloud Rebellion is the primary criteria.
Which is more critical for an airdrop, MIST or cACU?
cACU will be converted and is not an airdrop; MIST will have airdrop characteristics.
Collators and Mainnet
When can I join the collator list officially?
If telemetry is set up and you are in the Discord collator group, you are close. Submissions are currently closed.
Can I still submit Collator details?
No, submissions are closed; more opportunities will be available on mainnet.
Do we need to convert cACU to mainnet tokens at TGE?
Yes, a guide will be provided to make migration simple.
Will there be another presale?
No, countries excluded from the presale can participate on decentralized exchanges after TGE.
Software Features
What is the next software update?
Upcoming updates include referral features and Node.js 24 support.
Will there be an alarm feature for monitoring offline phones?
The Telegram bot monitors devices; additional features may be added based on feedback.
