Compute providers stake ACU against the capacity they commit to. Fail to deliver and part of that stake is slashed.
Get rewarded for real work
Staking rewards and Base Benchmark Rewards are distributed in ACU to providers and the delegators backing them.
Blocks get produced
Collators, the validators and block producers of the Acurast Mainnet are compensated in ACU.
A vote on where this goes
The on-chain treasury holds over 24% of the supply and refills itself from part of the inflation. ACU holders decide through on-chain governance which proposals it funds and how the protocol develops.

ACU bridges from Acurast Mainnet to Ethereum via HyperDrive, and onward to BSC, Base and Peaq via LayerZero.
Where to get ACU
Each exchange decides which instance of ACU it supports: native, ERC20, or the LayerZero version on BSC, Base or Peaq. Check the network before you deposit or withdraw.

Only token contracts listed in the official Acurast documentation are valid Acurast tokens. Beware of fake tokens sold to deceive users, and never send ACU to an address on the wrong network — it is irreversible.
